Vote NO on McCain!

The arguments presented in this letter, based on the Church’s explicit guidelines for voting for the

lesser of two evils, have been wholeheartedly endorsed by Fr. Peter Scott, former US District Superior, SSPX.

LETTER TO A TRADITIONAL PRIEST ON WHY CATHOLICS

SHOULD NOT VOTE FOR JOHN McCAIN !

Dear Father:

With all due respect to you as an Alter Christo as well as an apostle of our Lord’s social Kingship whom I have long admired, I must nevertheless vehemently disagree with what you wrote.

1-      You say that John McCain’s vast lying, reprehensible public record and utter untrustworthiness – is  my “opinion”?  Not so, Father.  An abundance of readily accessible and irrefutable facts clearly indicate the exact opposite;

2-      You say that my sources of information, and that of my friend and fellow lay apostle Tom Gabriele, are part of the “disinformation machine of Marxists hoping to get Obama elected”?   Wrong again, Father.  Marxists, as well as their Masonic and Zionist overlords, would be just as happy with McCain as with Obama, and perhaps even more so given McCain’s lust for more wars and bloodletting on Israel’s behalf!  “Conservative” and “Pro-Life” President Bush served their interests with as much zeal and effectiveness, if not more, than Bill Clinton – a crystal-clear case of the “lesser” evil effectuating even more evil than the “greater” evil could possibly get away with!  There’s every reason for a rational and reasonably well-informed man to believe that a McCain administration would be no different.  And there is NO credible reason to think otherwise!   And speaking of Marxism, LIFELONG SELF-ADMITTED MARXIST Zbigniew Brzezinski, founder of David Rockefeller’s  subversive Trilaterial Commission who was also REPUBLICAN Senator John McCain’s foreign policy advisor several years ago after having served as DEMOCRATIC President Jimmy Carter’s national security advisor, this same Brzezinski is TODAY still very much in control of American politics through his two sons, Mark and Ian ,who are  currently serving as foreign policy advisors to BOTH Democratic AND Republican presidential aspirants… Yes, this notorious Marxist is exerting enormous influence over BOTH BARACK OBAMA AND JOHN McCAIN!!!  If you don’t believe that this powerful man is really a Marxist, you should read his own book, Between Two Ages, in which he shamelessly BOASTS of the glorious achievements of Satanic and Talmudic Marxism!!!

3-      You say that the information filtered through a carefully chosen select few of proven independent sources is less reliable than that of the public media?  The same public media that is controlled by a network of Christ-hating Jews, Masons, Plutocrats, Socialists, Fascists, Americanists, Trilateralists, Globalists?  Sorry, Father; I don’t see it your way.  We are not even on the same planet on this.

4-      You say that Tom Gabriele and I have been taken in by a “Gnostic political agenda”?  Gnosticism is the very antithesis of Magisterial teaching which teaching we wholly and wholeheartedly embrace, profess, disseminate, and put into practice insofar as this is possible in a pagan society.

5-      You accuse me of  “Spreading falsehood on the Internet”?  ME? – publisher of works by St. Pius X, Pius XII, Card. Ottaviani, Hamish Fraser, Yves Dupont, Archb. Lefebvre, Msgr. Delassus and Card. Pie?  Anyone that knows me knows that I would immediately retract anything that I ever said – orally or in writing – that in any way whatsoever contradicts what Holy Mother Church has always and everywhere taught.  Church teaching and a strict application of Catholic principles in no way constitute falsehood!!!  Msgr. Lefebvre himself backed and encouraged my apostolate, and that was even before the founding of the League of the Kingship of Christ, along with more than a few other priests and superiors, both SSPX and independent, not to mention a long list of other eminent leaders of the traditional movement over the span of nearly four decades.  The webmaster who designed and maintains my website, CatholicActionResourceCenter.Com, has posted a number of testimonials in this regard under the “About the Author” category.  I am not particularly comfortable having attention drawn to myself, but a man unjustly attacked has the right – and sometimes even the duty – to protect his reputation, and this is especially so when it requires defending a higher cause, and certainly when it requires protecting the interests of the greatest cause to which men can dedicate themselves – the cause of Christ our King.

I also emphatically disagree that the “position” I am promoting is “certainly not” that of Archbishop Lefebvre.  I was privileged to communicate in writing with His Excellency even before he founded the SSPX, and later on attend a talk he gave to a small select group in New York in the early 1970s, and afterwards to spend some time in private conversation with him (through a seminarian interpreter) at which time we discussed, among other topics of mutual concern, the tragic state of American politics.  In fact, the advice he gave me that day is still deeply imbedded in my mind.  He paraphrased Pope Pius XII, which prompted me afterwards to spend months digging up the actual quote, which I subsequently found to be a tremendous source of inspiration all these years of fighting on the front lines: “The just man is a Christian who will not be satisfied with standing idly amid the ruins; he will feel it his duty TO RESIST AND PREVENT THE CATASTROPHE, or at least to lessen its impact.  He will be there to rebuild (to the members of the Roman nobility, Jan. 1, 1947 – emphasis mine).

To resist and prevent the catastrophe – this is what we’re attempting to do in urging Catholics NOT to vote for the Marxist, Zionist and ANTI-LIFE Senator from Arizona, John McCain.

But I am getting ahead of myself here. The point about the archbishop is that he lamented the sad state of affairs in America almost forty years ago.  Imagine what he would have to say about it today!  As for the elections, I am confident that His Grace, the wise, holy and learned prelate that he was, would have given all due consideration to the broader picture by giving all due consideration to the totality of Papal and Magisterial pronouncements on politics and the political order, including the question of the lesser of two evils – all of it in the right perspective, not in the narrow and distorted view of taking one or two passages from the Vicars completely out of context, which passages, by themselves, have little if any applicability to our situation in America today (as I hope to make exceedingly clear in this letter).

This is what those who say we must vote for McCain as the lesser of the two evils in order to defeat the greater evil of Obama have done, taken the papal guidelines completely out of context, and thereby (no doubt unintentionally) misrepresenting their meaning as they apply to our situation here and now.  All things considered – the edifying Catholic principles in their totality as well as McCain’s damnable public record in its totality –, it is not conducive to an intelligent, balanced and profoundly Catholic decision and action to urge the faithful to cast their votes for a man like McCain.  One of our SSPX priests even told some parishioners – to their utter horror, I might add – that it may well be a mortal sin NOT to vote for John McCain.  A mortal sin to refuse to vote for a man who, as we shall see, represents mass-murder both inside as well as outside the womb!!!   This is shocking, Father, not to mention scandalous, not to mention absolute madness!!!  With this kind of talk even a strongly PRO-Society man such as myself is very tempted to ask whether this priestly order founded by a saint has actually been infiltrated and compromised!!!

It saddens me immensely even to suggest such a thing, as I have long observed – and many times publicly acknowledged – Society priests performing countless wonderful works for souls and families, for our Church and country, since establishing mission centers here in North America.  And more, there are a number of Society priests that I’ve not only personally served and assisted in their pastoral ministry as co-missionaries with them, but which have become close personal friends.  And yet, it is impossible to overlook something that has such dire consequences for the good of souls and for the common moral good and temporal welfare of the entire nation.

I would add that it is also most disturbing that some of our good shepherds could be so blind to truth and reality and to mislead their own flock this way and thereby to allow – and to even invite – the wolves of Washington (pawns of New York and Tel Aviv) to prey upon and devour them and their families!  We look to these good priests for spiritual and moral light and direction, and yet what some of them are giving us, at least in this case, is more confusion, uncertainty and distress.  I am in touch with a good number of traditional Catholics across the country and overseas, a fair percentage of them men and families attached to the SSPX.  I can tell you that more than a few of them are distraught over what they are hearing and reading from the Society on these grave moral issues. These are good men, devout, intelligent and well-read, and they can see for themselves what the Church actually teaches on these issues, and are rightly concerned – some even alarmed – about the position the SSPX seems to be taking – clearly at odds with the Popes.

In no way can Catholic teaching be interpreted to assert that we MUST vote for John McCain.  As I am attempting to prove here, the OPPOSITE is more likely true.

Did the Popes not say that while the principles were firm, their application could vary from country to country, from circumstance to circumstance?  Did they not allow for extenuating circumstances?  Exceptions to the rule?  We know that they have, consistently so.  Fr. Peter Scott is virtually a lone voice among Society priests, it would seem, in having correctly written about these things, upholding the Catholic principles in their integrity by not dismissing the qualifying conditions under which these principles are expected to be properly put to use.  For example, at the same time we are instructed by the Church that it is a moral obligation to vote, it is also stated that there are times when we are not obliged to vote, and other times when Catholics are even obliged not vote at all.  And even as we are told that it is morally permissible to vote for the lesser of two evils, we are also told that there are specific conditions attached to this consent, such as in the case of effectuating a greater good or avoiding a greater evil, or some such other “proportionate reasons” for not doing so. In other words, the general rule does not always and everywhere apply.

And in the ongoing debate over abortion, McCain and the lesser evil issue, this vastly overlooked and seemingly inconsequential point – that the general rule does not always and everywhere apply – happens to be of paramount importance.

But if I am correct and it is of paramount importance, the question inescapably arises: why is this vital information being withheld – at least to a great extent – from the average Catholic in the pew? – Men and women that VOTE, and who are morally bound to vote with an educated and well-formed conscience!   And how, in the light of these precise rules and mitigating conditions, could some of our SSPX priests even openly FAVOR John McCain in the presidential race?  I strongly disagree with you that the general rule alone unconditionally applies to the 2008 elections and to presidential candidate John McCain – Palin or no Palin.

In our situation in America today, there are strong indications that it is not so much the principles as it is the rules concerning their plausible exceptions that are MOST applicable.  Again, how can it be that Fr. Peter Scott appears to be the only Society priest that understands this?

Even The Angelus Press’s own publication, “Catholic Principles for Voting,” while somewhat equivocal and therefore confusing and misleading (or as one critic wrote me, “it is a shameless even if subtle endorsement of candidate McCain, SON OF THE LODGE AND SERVANT OF SATAN,” – emphasis his), the booklet still and all contains a few clearly-stated stipulations that shed a little light on our current dilemma, and which also, if meticulously analyzed and then carried to its rightful conclusion, necessarily DISQUALIFIES John McCain as an acceptable lesser-evil candidate, that is, for any Catholic who does not have his head buried ostrich-like in the sand in regard to the Senator’s public record (his “public” record means his actual record, not the falsified one that the lying media parades before an easily duped public).

Three examples (the crux of the whole argument, I think, lies here):

            1) Quoting Pius XII, the pamphlet says: “…it is obvious that the voice of conscience imposes on every Catholic to give his vote to the candidates who offer truly sufficient guarantees for the protection of the rights of God and of souls, for the true good of individuals, families and of society, according to the love of God and Catholic moral teaching” (emphasis mine).

Please take note: “TRULY SUFFICIENT GUARANTEES”???  No honest man could possibly say in all sincerity that John McCain offers the Catholic voter any such thing!

            2) Quoting the pamphlet itself: “In practice, it generally comes down to the question of whether or not it is permissible to vote for an unworthy candidate (e.g., a candidate who only approves abortion in cases of rape or incest), for he would at least (we suppose) be the lesser evil [“we suppose” indicates that even the author(s) of this pamphlet has (have) some doubts!!!].  In such a case, there can be no obligation to vote, for all the reasons that could oblige, mentioned by Pope Pius XII, no longer apply.  Nevertheless, it is still permissible to vote in such a case, provided that one can be sure that there truly is a lesser evil…” (emphasis mine).

Here again, we have yet another CONDITION or EXCEPTION TO THE RULE.   In the case of John McCain, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SUCH CERTAINTY THAT HE IS THE LESSER EVIL.  Therefore, if I understand it correctly, given his true record which is one of incessant hypocrisy at best, it would NOT BE PERMISSIBLE for Catholics to give him their vote.

            3)  Lastly: “All of these issues are of the utmost importance.  Consequently, it would be permissible and prudent to vote for a candidate who promotes an unjust war, on the basis of one or other of these issues.  Consequently, it is likewise permissible to vote for a candidate who is known to be a Freemason, although Freemasonry is an evil society condemned by the Church and opposed to the Catholic Church, IF he maintains an important principle of the natural law such as the evil of abortion” (emphasis mine).

You will note the emphasis I placed on the word “IF”!!!  Once again, the rule automatically INVALIDATES a McCain candidacy inasmuch as he cannot possibly maintain that abortion is evil with a pro-abortion record like his.

We are both in agreement that our opinions count for little.  Let us then at this point (once more) briefly survey the facts of McCain’s record.

You mentioned the latest presidential debates.  On that very same occasion, as reported in the mass media as well as in scores of independent sources, “pro-life” Senator McCain 1) reaffirmed his complete support of embryonic stem-cell research (this was consistent with his having voted “Yea” in April, 2007, on S.5., a bill introduced by Senator Harry Reid to overturn the 2001 ban on federal funding for embryonic stem-cell research); and 2) stated in no uncertain terms that, if elected president, the pro-life issue would not – repeat, would NOT! – necessarily determine his choice of Supreme Court appointees.   This was broadcast on nation-wide television and printed in all the major daily and weekly papers across the country.  This is the “pro-life” candidate we are supposed to trust?  Trust is another of the Church’s explicit conditions for voting for a candidate purported to be the lesser evil.  It cannot possibly apply to an unprincipled, anti-life, war-mongering, Zionist-controlled and Marxist demagogue like John McCain.

Do you need more proof?  There’s plenty more.  Before choosing Mrs. Palin as his running mate, McCain was on the verge of announcing one of two PRO-ABORTION politicians as his selection for vice president – Tom Ridge and Joe Leiberman.  This very telling detail is conveniently overlooked by all the pro-McCain people who claim that they – and he – are pro-life.  McCain also became the favorite among presidential hopefuls of the pro-abortion Congressional caucus, Republicans For Choice, once pro-abort Rudy Giuliani quit the race.  Our pro-abortion “pro-life” Senator voted as well to increase funding to Planned Parenthood (House Resolution 3010) and refused to support Dr. Ron Paul’s Sanctity of Life pro-life bill which would have stopped the abortion holocaust dead in its tracks.  Anti-life “pro-lifers” like Bush and McCain could have helped stop abortion anytime during the last eight years, especially during the six year period that the Republicans were in the majority.  They chose to let the slaughter of unborn innocents continue.  AND EVEN INCREASE, as per their support of increased funding for Planned Parenthood.  All of this is fact – none of it opinion.  And all of it relevant to our moral duty in the upcoming elections.

These are truths our shepherds ought to be telling the people from the pulpit, warning them NOT to vote for EITHER pro-abortion candidate!!!  What are we to think of their collective silence?

Without doubt, Father, John McCain is NOT pro-life, regardless of all the media propaganda to the contrary – which I would say is the real Marxist propaganda.  No matter how many traditional Catholics are misinformed about it, nothing can alter the facts.  McCain may be slightly less pro-abortion than Obama, but he cannot be considered pro-life in any sense of the word!  In order for us to concede that McCain is even the lesser of the two evils – and let us not forget that he has expressed approval of NUKING innocent women and children in Iran in yet ANOTHER criminal, unconstitutional, unjust, immoral and positively unwinable war of aggression (have we learned not one single moral lesson from the nuclear holocaust that WE Americans needlessly and nefariously unleashed upon the mostly Catholic civilians of Japan at the close of WWII?), – the Church says we must be confident that our candidate is at least sincere in his moral posturing, and that this is not merely politics as usual, telling the people whatever they want to hear in order to get himself elected, selecting a “pro-life” VP only to win the pro-life vote, and obviously for no other reason.  No clear-thinking man could possibly have such confidence in a man whose entire public and political life is a disgrace and a scandal, to say the least (not to mention the cowardly betrayal of his fellow POWs,[1] the treason against his country by serving the interests of Israel and its secret societies at the expense of the American people, the involvement in organized crime in Arizona, etc.).

The proof of all of this is overwhelmingly supportive of the ANTI-McCain camp.  Are we, as faithful and intelligent Catholics, simply to ignore the mountains of evidence that strongly suggest voting for John McCain is an unthinkable compromise with the organized forces of evil?  It’s going too far in tolerating evil for an ostensible if not illusive greater good.  On this question of tolerating evil, the Popes inform us that Thomistic teaching itself is conditional, on the one hand recognizing that “the authority of man is powerless to prevent every evil” (Leo XIII, Libertas), on the other hand asserting that “if such tolerance would be injurious to the public welfare, and entail greater evils on the State, it would NOT be lawful; for in such a case the motive of good is lacking” (ibid – emphasis mine).   Here again the rule disqualifies John McCain as a morally acceptable lesser-evil candidate, for a McCain administration would undoubtedly be injurious to the public welfare and entail greater evils on the commonwealth – to say the least.

In this case, when all is said and done, there is no “proportionate reason” for casting our votes for John McCain.   Not one.   For there can be no doubt in our minds, unless we choose to be willfully blind out of fear or some other motivation, that a McCain administration, just as the Bush administration, would increase its financial commitment to Planned Parenthood, and in this way alone would be injurious to the public welfare and entail greater evils on the commonwealth.

What sort of moral justification could there conceivably be to say that it’s okay to vote for him because his administration may murder FEWER unborn babies in their mothers’ wombs than would Obama (there’s not even any real guarantee of this anyway)?

God help us traditional Catholics if we’ve already lost our moral bearings to such an extent as THIS!!!

I do agree with you that all good men have an obligation to stop Senator Obama, but nine out of ten reasons you would give for doing so would EQUALLY apply to stopping Senator McCain.  This not-so-minor detail changes everything.  Even if he really was the “lesser” evil, which, at best, is an uncertainty, and even highly doubtful, the magnitude of his evil is such to make it a grave moral obligation to stop him as well as Obama.  This is my argument, based exclusively on Catholic teaching and on McCain’s very own public record.  There’s no Gnostic “hidden and secret information” involved here.  The truth is available to all of us, and all moral-minded men have the same grave moral duty to learn and to act upon it.  Socialist/Marxist Obama and Fascist/Marxist McCain are two agents of the same New World Order with the same agenda and objectives even if they pretend to oppose one another in order to deceive the gullible and unthinking masses.  Everything of any credibility to the discerning Catholic mind points to this inescapable conclusion.

An old adage applies here: insanity, it is said, is making the same mistake over and over again, expecting different results.  Americans in general and Catholics in particular have been, for far too long, making the same mistakes in choosing candidates who offer virtually no real differences and no real choices, and yet we keep expecting that things will change or improve.  Not very smart of us.  Nor is it very prudent.  It matters little whether the candidates/politicians themselves fully grasp whom or what they really serve when it is a certainty that both men are key players in the Talmudic plot to dethrone Christ, overturn the moral order, and establish the Reign of Satan over the Church and the world.  By their rotten fruits we already know them.  Obama and McCain are made from the same mold.  Facts, not personal opinion, validate this contention.

The Papal exhortation Pius XII issued in his 1945 Christmas message consists of yet another truth that seems to be most relevant to Americans in 2008, faced as we are with the same colossal menace of militaristic totalitarianism that is still shedding innocent blood all over the world, whether in home-based abortion mills or distant lands it has invaded and brutally wages wars against.  “The force of the totalitarian State.  The whole surface of the globe, reddened with the bloodshed of these terrible years, cries aloud against the tyranny of such a State ...  State totalitarianism is … incapable of guaranteeing the security of individual peoples.  It constitutes a continual menace of war … The fabric of peace would rest on a tottering and ever threatening base, if an END were not put to such totalitarianism … all oppression and all arbitrary action from within and without must be BANNED” (emphasis mine).

An end to American totalitarianism is urgently necessary if we are to save Christian civilization.  And this necessitates a NO vote on the Obama-Biden/McCain-Palin single-party ticket, scarcely different from the single-party system of the Communist regimes.  Remember, Marxists serve as advisors to BOTH Obama and McCain.

Lastly, you also raised the question of a “more worthy” third party candidate, suggesting that they have “no real chance of winning” and therefore, according to you, “the clear choice is John McCain.”  Here, too, I cannot agree with you; not at all.  John McCain – a CLEAR CHOICE?   Not by any moral standard, Father, as I have attempted to demonstrate.  As for the agreeably more worthy third party candidate having no real chance of winning?  Let us take a closer look.

First off, the Church does not say that we must be assured of victory at the polls before we may vote for the best man who does represent the only real “clear choice”; only that he has a reasonable chance of winning.  Even a “long-shot” chance is not at all unreasonable.  Now, given the fact that a great number of traditional Catholics are in agreement that Ron Paul-endorsed Chuck Baldwin of the independent Constitution Party is, by far and without doubt, the most pro-life, the most moral and Christian, and the least corrupt and anti-Christian, of all the candidates (in my opinion Baldwin is even better than Ron Paul himself, though admittedly not as well known), let us consider whether he also has no real chance of winning – or a reasonable chance.  I offer four considerations:

1)                          More and more Catholics, Christians and decent Americans are ever-more increasingly realizing that all of our moral, cultural, financial, economic, political, agricultural, energy, academic, military, sociological and health-care woes are perpetually worsened by a hidden Elite that pulls all the strings from behind closed doors, controlling both major parties and both leading candidates in this nation (as well as the bulk of news and information).  How many Popes spoke of such a hidden financial and power elite?  More and more are at long last beginning to wake up to the cold reality that, shy of a CATHOLIC party, the Constitution Party is the closest thing to it and the only viable alternative to the two major parties, which are better described as Organized Crime.  In other words, many are convinced that the USA is ripe for a Third Party victory (and for us traditionalists, this means an important stepping-stone towards a future CATHOLIC victory – yes, even at the polls!).  [2]

2)                          Chuck Baldwin’s name is already on the ballot in 37 states – a remarkable feat in view of the systematic news and information disinformation and black-out on him and on his candidacy;

3)                          He has, as mentioned, the official public endorsement of Dr. Ron Paul, the extremely popular (and very principled) congressman and former presidential candidate who would most likely be today’s Republican standard-bearer in place of the corrupt and vile John McCain had the media presented a balanced rather than totally biased coverage (or lack of coverage) of the news;

4)                          Finally, there is the consideration that all things are possible with God.  If Chuck Baldwin is, without doubt, the best of all the choices, which he surely is despite being Protestant, and if good men voted for him according to the guidelines of the Popes coupled with a truly Christian and prayerfully informed conscience, as they should do, should we not then have the confidence that God would intervene in the sense of answering the desperate cries of so many of His people, as He did at Lepanto, at Vienna and many other places where there were even less chance of victory for good over evil, even if at a significantly lesser degree owing to the fact that our best candidate is, again, Protestant rather than Catholic, and that our immediate objective, at this time, is not for the triumph of Catholicism and a Catholic social order, which is not humanly feasible given the present state of apostasy, but merely to salvage as much of it as possible, and to hold back to whatever degree we can the rising floodwaters of militant impiety that threaten to destroy everything, with the full restoration of the Catholic social order under our Blessed Lord’s social Kingship always on our minds as the ultimate objective and the chief motivation for our labors and sacrifices?

Granted, as you well know, Catholic standards show the Constitution Party principles and platform to be far from perfect, but they are definitely the MOST Christian and LEAST anti-Christian of all the other possibilities combined.  If you and others can say that it is morally permissible for Catholics to vote for the insidiously unscrupulous John McCain, how much MORE SO is it permissible – even preferable if not morally obligatory – to vote for a man of such towering integrity as Chuck Baldwin!!!  There are many Catholics who have not only been working hard for a Ron Paul and now Chuck Baldwin win at the polls, but praying for the CONVERSION of these two honorable and courageous men as well. It’s true that a Chuck Baldwin victory will not usher in a Catholic social order under the reign of Christ the King.  But it is reasonably certain that a John McCain victory (no differently than a Barack Obama victory) will continue and even escalate the ANTI-CHRISTIAN moral disorders and social upheavals long ago set in motion by the secret societies and perpetuated by the Jefferson-Lincoln-Wilson-FDR-JFK-Johnson-Nixon-Carter-Reagan-Bush-Clinton-Bush II lineage of evil under the ever-growing influence of Jewish subterfuge, perfidy, fanaticism and supremacy.   Surely this factor must be entered into the equation for a balanced assessment of the whole picture.  This is what the Saints have done, and the Popes, and other champions of the Faith and leaders of the counterrevolution such as Pie, Delassus, Fahey, Lefebvre and many others.

These four facts alone, I think, give Mr. Baldwin a reasonable chance of victory, and provide a

reasonable hope for the same.  And item #4 alludes to the most important factor of all: GOD’S GRACE.  There is more at work here than the blind masses that are galvanized into a force of unthinking robots and mobilized on behalf of their respective candidates – necessarily the LEAST worthy and MOST corrupt men, and all the latest propaganda –  news updates and public surveys and other artificial and invariably dishonest reports ostensibly keeping the nation abreast of the race for the White House and Congress, actually creating the pretence of popular support, when the only genuine choice of the people is marginalized if not excluded from the public forum altogether.  In all this Divine Providence is also at work, and the prayers, labors and mortifications of the faithful which serve as conduits of grace on behalf of the Divine Will – two dynamics working in harmony that are far more powerful than anything human or demonic or any combination thereof.

All of these factors come together to paint a far different picture than the one the political demagogues and media monopolists (enemies of Our Lord to a man) would paint for us.  And as I’ve said many times before about Ron Paul while he was yet in the race, Chuck Baldwin would likewise have an even greater chance of winning if only Catholics and all sincere and concerned Americans would put enough trust in the Lord God and in the Blessed Virgin Mary to vote on principle for a change, rather than on expedience; if they would vote for the only integrally pro-life candidate; if they would vote in strict accord with papal directives; in short, if they would vote for the best man rather than for the lesser evil, which, in the contest presently raging between Obama and McCain, we can’t even be 100% certain, once again, which of the two is the lesser or the greater evil – all things considered.

As for Sarah Palin, if she were as sincere in her moral convictions as you and others believe her to be, wouldn’t she have declined McCain’s offer to serve as his second-in-command?   If she was half as good as many traditional Catholics have convinced themselves she is, wouldn’t she have instantly rejected McCain’s offering, instinctively preferring to serve on a Chuck Baldwin team instead?  The answers should be clear to everyone.

In closing, permit me to add a final word.  Imagine how shocked our beloved Archbishop Lefebvre would be if he returned to earth for a day from his place in paradise confronted with all the evils that the Bush administration unleashed upon the world in the past eight years – all the bold-faced lies, the increased funding of abortions by a “pro-life” regime, the totalitarian and police state initiatives at home, the mass-atrocities and war crimes abroad, the bleeding of families economically, the Federal spending orgy and explosion of the National Debt taking the country to the brink of financial collapse and social chaos to be followed by Martial Law and the final Jewish Power Grab as per the Talmud and Protocols of Zion.

Imagine, if His Grace was fully aware of the truth of Senator McCain’s total complicity in each and every one of these monstrous crimes.  Do you honestly think the saintly Archbishop would say that it would be morally permissible for Catholics to endorse this same John McCain as president, empowering him to continue and even ESCALATE all the corruption, financial piracy, high treason, baby murders and crimes against humanity of the Bush years?   To continue and ESCALATE the same monstrous deeds that CRY TO HEAVEN FOR VENGEANCE?   No, Father, the Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre that I knew and revered would not do so.  He would never violate the moral law and depreciate Church teaching in such a manner.  He would never betray His Lord, Savior and King by handing so important a victory to the Prince of Darkness.  He would, however, I sincerely believe, admonish those of his priestly sons who did not keep themselves better informed on the candidates’ actual records as well as on the relevant principles and their contingent provisions alike, and consequently for misleading the flock, unintentional or not, on how they should be voting as Catholics.  After all, it was the same saintly archbishop who said that Catholics do not have the right to allow their countries to go over to Socialism and Communism.  If we do not have the right to allow our countries to fall into the grip of the Revolution which has long controlled both political parties and politicians of both the Left and the Right, surely we do not have the right to ASSIST this same Revolution in augmenting and consummating its power over our lives, our families, our country and OUR CHURCH!   He well understood that the Vicars of Christ always urged her faithful to resist tyranny in all its forms, even if it masquerades as democracy; and to resist evil men with diabolic ambitions, even if they disguise themselves as pro-life and the lesser evil.

These are the most extreme of times and demand of us the most heroic of actions.  Whereas tolerance of certain evils may be required of us to a degree and for a time, selling out to the enemy is NEVER an option to a faithful Catholic.  The struggle is already lost, humanly speaking, if we fail to do what saints like Msgr. Lefebvre urged us to do, namely, turn to the Magisterium for light and direction, and disseminate their teachings far and wide.  This is what I have devoted my life to doing.  The greatest champions of Christendom and of the Catholic counterrevolution have long maintained that in the teachings of the Successors of St. Peter is found the key to overcoming all the conflicts between the Tabernacle and the Abyss, as too all those internal conflicts between men of the household of the same faith.

As a loyal son of the Church, I am ready to rescind anything in the aforementioned letter that can be shown to be contrary to Catholic principles and the teachings of the Supreme Pontiffs.

Very sincerely,

In Jesus our King and Mary our Queen,

P.S. For your information: due to the vast confusion and considerable upset and divisiveness pro-McCain traditionalists have been spreading about; and due to the unusually large amount of inquiries I’ve been receiving from sincere Catholics seeking answers to the many moral dilemmas we face, especially over the issue of voting in the upcoming elections; and due as well to the impossibility of me giving a personal reply to each and every one, I have decided to place this reply to your e-mail on my website.  It answers many questions of a good number of concerned Catholics.  However, be assured I will remove all references to you personally.  My readers will know that my writing is in response to a SSPX priest, but will have no idea who that priest is.  As most of my readers are favorable to the SSPX, as I am, there is little chance that what I’ve written here will do any damage to its good reputation among the remnant.  But even if it were to do some damage, for one thing it’s most likely to be minimal; and for another it will not be my fault but the Society’s for failing to present the Catholic principles on voting in a more honest, objective and balanced manner, the principles in their integrity which necessitate presenting all the conditions, extenuating circumstances, exceptions and other contingencies built into the Church’s rules.  All the ensuing confusion might then have been avoided.

Keeping your name out of it is in keeping with my good will towards you personally and the SSPX as a whole.  I hope the Society in turn will reciprocate by showing me the same courtesy and respect, which it has not always done in more recent years.

[1] There is plenty of documented evidence that McCain made more than two dozen propaganda tapes for his Communist captors, that while other POWs were brutally tortured and starved and forced to live under the most unbearable conditions throughout their captivity, McCain was given the royal treatment for his eagerness to cooperate.  It has also been amply documented that he spent considerable time away from the disease-laden prison camps which so cruelly incapacitated the other American prisoners, and that he was provided good food, clean sheets, and was even permitted the services of prostitutes in his Czechoslovakian resort as a reward for having “turned” against his country in order to save himself.

[2] A recent article in The Wall Street Journal, written by John Avlon, confirms this by saying, “The new mainstream in American politcs isn’t Democratic or Republican; it’s the independent voter.  Independents now make up about 40% of the electorate, and the millions of registered independents in key states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida will probably decide this election.  In six states, independents already outnumber Republican and Democrats.”  What’s more, many Ron Paul supporters, who registered Republican only to support Dr. Paul’s presidential bid, are likely now to vote independent, particularly for Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution Party which Paul endorsed.  This fact will boost the percentage of independent voters far above the present 40 percent level, adding still more credibility to Baldwin having a reasonable even if long-shot chance at winning.
